Additional Policies
Please find information on Belper Gymnastics Club (BGC) regarding refunds, safeguarding, health and safety, insurance, privacy, equality, and code of conduct below.
Refunds and cancellations
The "First Month" (for gymnastics and preschool) is fully refundable if none of the purchased sessions have been attended.
Once registration and payment is complete and the first session has been attended, you will be considered a member. Members will be invoiced every month, and pay via bank transfer. Please notify the club in advance if you wish to cancel your membership, and you will no longer receive invoices and cannot attend sessions. If you have paid for a month in advance but have not attended any sessions from that block then a refund can be given (e.g. cancelled membership in April, already paid for May but have not attended any sessions in May, full refund can be given for May).
Safeguarding
BGC is committed to ensuring the safety and well-being of all children participating in our activities. All coaches must have a valid and recent enhanced DBS check and relevant safeguarding training. The club's Safeguarding and Welfare Policy and Procedures ensures we meet the highest standards of safety for our participants.
Health & safety, and fire safety
BGC ensures that all equipment is fit for purpose, all activities are safe, and coaches are appropriately qualified. BGC also has an appropriately qualified first aider available during all sessions. All relevant health & safety risk assessments have been conducted and additional measures have been enacted to ensure the safety of participants, parents, and staff. The club has conducted a fire risk assessment for its specific activities and required further action has been taken, and has a fire evacuation plan. In addition, BGC has ensured that the venue (Vanessa's School of Dance) has sufficient fire safety measures in place.
Insurance
BGC is fully insured by Insure4Sport for Gymnastics and Acro Dance.
